Mishka's Redemption Chapter 11

Hey guys! I've been trying to put myself on a sort of schedule for uploading MR and I just wanted to let you guys know that I haven't forgotten about it or you guys. I'm planning on uploading a chapter today and I wanna give you guys a picture to go with part of the story. I love you guys! Can you guess what it is?

A Five Year Journey

When I was leaving middle school I was having problems with school. I had always had problems in school because I was ahead of my class due to different educational systems when I transferred in. I was learning at a 12th grade level and then suddenly I wasn't anymore. So I struggled with caring and applying myself to get the grades that all of me teachers told me i could get but it was just really hard for me to get that. So my mother gave me a choice, if i got good grades and good reports from my teachers and did all of my work, etc, she would give me a new book every week. The first book I got was Vampire Academy.
I fell so in love with this book and I had such a passion for both reading and writing that i decided to start writing a fanfiction. I knew how to write but to write with the level of prose and grace that the authors I loved wrote with was a challenge. I pushed through and kept writing and I grew phenomenally and after this growth and development, hard sweat, tons of writer's block, and much more, this story has followed me all the way to college.
After 5 years of hard work and support from my friends and my followers and all of you who have read and supported me I have finally finished my first public story, fanfiction and am on my way to a sequel. I've finished works before but never a full on public story that has been submitted to judgment and critic.
I just wanted to say thank you even if no one reads this, thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me and helping me continue! Thanks you to ScorpioGirl20 and lucky203. Thank you to bored2002 and bookluver83749. Thank you to hibetz and Chamaka and everyone else along the way for making me smile with their reviews and messages of kindness. Thank you to my best friend Ky for never letting me give up on myself and suffering through countless attempts of my writing <3  Thank you everyone who has traveled this far with me and I really appreciate it.

Infection Sneak Peak

Infection

Prologue

            It felt as if my lungs were burning as I gasped for air. I didn’t dare stop to catch my breath I just limped forward as fast as I could jaggedly filling my lungs with air. My throat burned and my heart pounded hard in my chest but I could feel my body fighting.

Keep going Aria!

I mentally scolded myself for not checking the tall grass before I entered the shed. It was as if it was lying in wait. It waited and watched me gather supplies from the shed and on my last walk in it rose. It rose and staggered after me and I had been caught foolishly in my surprise and staggered backwards. Perfectly planned. Perfectly executed. I tripped falling rolling down the hill feeling almost relieved through my pain but looked up in time to catch it throwing itself down the hill after me. It tripped but slowly stood and staggered towards where I lay trying to stand. I grabbed a branch and pulled myself up but found my leg unsteady. I glanced upwards catching a glimpse of it's staggering walk, it's sun bloated skin all I could focus on as it closed in on me.

Move!

I screamed at my legs and slowly they started as if that simple command was the switch to turn them on. Pain shot through my leg as I tried to run.  I could hear how closely behind me he followed, his deathly groans sounding as he closed in on me. The only remnants of his previous self a few patches of hair covered by a baseball cap. His bloated skin and rancid smell enough to make me retch if the circumstances had been different. Now I couldn't. I was only just out of his reach. I pushed myself.

Faster.

Faster!

His growling echoed behind me as I ran through the grass.

Breathe!

My lungs Burned.

Come on Aria!

I couldn't scream, my limited air wouldn't allow it. It wouldn't be any use anyway. I would just attract more. The adrenaline pumped through my veins pushing me. I lost my footing and felt myself falling. A rush of pain flooded through me and I could feel it as my hands reached out and I gripped a nearby branch pulling myself up quickly and struggling to stay out of his reach. He growled and clawed at the air where I had just moments before been. Close behind him another had been attracted by his groans and staggered before me filling the air with collaborated growls. They had hunted me like a lion after a deer and I was the one in the headlights.

Go, Aria, Go!

My efforts were in vain, it was no use. I could no longer take in any air. My shallow gulps would no longer fuel me. My heart sounded in time with my quick foot steps. I ran. I tried. But it was too late. It was over.

            I've been kind of off the grid lately. I'm sorry! Don't rush at me! I decided it was about time to let the secret out. You ready...?

          Okay... that was dorky :P. Anyway, those of you reading The Reel Thing, sit tight. I'm not finished writing it and I'm not taking a break from writing it but I am taking a break from posting chapters. The inspiration that I got to write that story isn't really flowing with me right now so I'm trying to work out my writers block for this story by writing freely a few chapters to queue up for you guys. It isn't gone and I promise you guys will get updates!
          I got inspiration for another story. It's not the kind I would usually write but my creativity has been kind of bottled up and it's...exploding all over this story pretty much xD. So the Big Surprise is that I'm taking on a new project. I've been working on a trilogy and the first book is going pretty well. Now that this project is kind of under way you guys will be getting a nice little surprise in just a bit today.
          The set I'm working on is called the Infected Souls Trilogy. Lol I had half a mind to call it the Infected Souls Chillogy xP. Take all of my Dorkiness. This book will focus around the zombie apocalypse and you guys will get to follow my mind character or characters *wink wink* on their journey through this. The first book in this series will be called Infection. A little cliche but I've got a bit of a feeling for where I'm going with this. I'm going to be starting my senior year and senior year, working, and writing is what I'll be juggling. I hope you guys enjoy this! Thank you my Fanfiction family and Wattpad family for following me this far and reading all of my writing from back when it was pretty crazy to now when it's...still pretty crazy.
